SEGA's "Sonic Generations" Game Returns to Xbox Platform
On September 11, SEGA announced that "Sonic Generations", which had been removed from the Xbox Digital Store due to the release of the remastered collection "Sonic Origins", is now back on the Xbox Game Store as part of the "Sonic the Hedgehog Classic Pack". This bundle is priced at $59.99 and includes six Sonic games as well as DLC content covering the series’ history.
Xbox Game Pass Standard Subscription Officially Launched
Following a test phase with selected users in August 2024, Microsoft officially launched the Xbox Game Pass Standard subscription on September 10. The subscription fee is $14.99 per month. Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Standard can enjoy hundreds of console games, online multiplayer experiences, and exclusive member discounts of up to 50%. However, compared to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, the Standard subscription does not include access to EA Play, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and PC games. It also does not promise first-party Xbox game releases on launch day but does include "console online multiplayer" functionality.
